ham update: ham sued by anti-ham offshoot of church of ham

08Jun07

You will recall our friend Ham, curator of the Creation “Museum”, from the story about dinosaurs with saddles - he who told us that T-Rex ate grass until “the fall” and other such nuggets of wisdom.

It seems that some of Ham’s former followers have decided to wrest back control of their (pre)destiny as an unthinking group of make-believe-believing individuals, and are suing him in the Queensland Supreme Court: story 1, story 2. There are accusations of “unbiblical/unethical/unlawful behaviour”. The parties in Creation Ministries International v Ham & Genesis Ministry seem to be united in their disappointment that they have had to turn to the “secular courts”, although apparently the Courts do receive some Biblical sanction:

CMI has no option left except to bring AiG-USA before the secular courts, the ‘powers that be ordained by God’ under Romans 13.
