As part of my ongoing project to watch appalling, Z-grade movies, I have come across this: Troll 2, IMDB score 2.0 out of 10. As IMDB reviewer ‘Justin Michels’ helpfully tells us:
…”Troll 2″ is a life-changing experience, similar to the Middle Ages’ trials by fire. If you succeed in ingesting this festering piece of cinematic detritus in one sitting, you will emerge a new person, like a phoenix rising from its own ashes. The watching itself may be painful, but it is ultimately worth the pain to be able to say, with conviction, “I survived ‘Troll 2,’ and I’m still technically alive.”
From that description, it has the potential at least to be worse than the Horrors of Spider Island, which I recently survived watching.

My husband’s favourite awful movie thus far is “Shakma” about a psycho baboon which attacks and kills some teenagers playing Dungeons and Dragons in a deserted high school. Still, it has 4.9 out of 10 on IMDB. My husband is now inspired to see Troll 2. Sounds appalling.
God, it was truly dismal, even compared to the heinous crimes we have watched in the past. Shakma sounds fabulous though.
